My stint in camera dept MAY be coming to an abrupt end, if e female boss has things her way. Of cos, it’s for e bigger picture n of cos, im juz an intern n i hav to obey e upper forces for e greater gd. -shrugs- I will ask to stay on, but e decision does not lie with me. Wish me luck~
E past few weeks have been exciting in many aspects. On a personal level, I hav been active in my dept, going on shoots whenever possible tho not being tasked with heavy responsibilities. I hav made gd as much as i hav made mistakes. To err is human - tt’s a stupid excuse of cos. My memory is failing me, as Jessie can strongly testify to. Juz today, i forgot to check for e diffusers n forgot to bring ND (neutral density) along, den forgot to bring umbrella despite 2 reminders from my dept head (whom i call “boss”; big boss refers to e MD n female boss refers to MD’s wife). Im not even 24, tis is my year (of e rat), n it looks like my memory will leave me faster than i expect. Y lidat? Also, “mummy” Doris is now officially AND traditionally recognised as Mrs Wai! Congrats~ Attended my first ever CS-Brewerkz 1st-Thurs-of-every-month gathering n met up with ppl whom im honestly beginning to miss… altho not all of em appeared, it was still great to see some. EBM-ers are obviously having a helluva internship time, with only 4 of us gracing e event. Hopefully we can meet up one fine day, n hopefully tis fine day would not be 1st day of yr 4 sem 1. Jia you n take care dear frens!
M’sia juz had an exciting election n I found myself following rather closely tis time. Perhaps, e opportunity to see a REAL democracy at work with credible opposition was too alluring to me. I hope Mr Lim Guan Eng, and DAP, will prove that they can govern Penang well. I continue to find it unfortunate that we are unable to vote in credible, intelligent n deserving opposition into parliament. Im not sure if its e way e newspaper covers them or wad, but sometimes I really wonder wad merits e NMPs at all. Recently, Mr Low is also not making too much sense in his arguments or speeches. Is there really no hope for Singapore? No, I will not join politics im sorry, so u can treat tis as a rant n grumble.
Many have been blogging abt e Mas Selamat incident. Yes, tt’s e famous Singapore edition of Prison Break. Minus all e mind-boggling stuff. As Yawning Bread puts it, it could have been really simple n straightforward for him. One of my colleague puts it as “Singapore lao kui”. Den, i wonder how many ppl hav questioned e integrity of e INDEPENDENT COMMISSION OF INQUIRY that has been set up. Mr Wang Says So gives a layman input. Reading these digests really helps me digest wad e papers say n wad they dun. Of cos, tis does mean that im not really tinkin anymore, having to rely on these sources for my analysis. Oh well.
My humble input? Mr Wong Kan Seng should step down n take responsibility for tis. I tink many bloggers hav steered clear of making tis comment, but i truly feel tt tis is e path a transparent democracy should take. No im not gg to initiate a petition or comment to e ST Forum or Stomp it. But yes tt’s my viewpt. E utter lack of information distribution to e public, solely, is enough reason for Mr Wong to step down. Bcoz i don’t trust him - wads more as our Deputy Prime Minister - anymore. He hides information - or he hides that he doesn’t hav information. Both are bad, e latter being worse.
My opinion, if u r curious, is that Mas Selamat is probably laughing his limp off - overseas.
